Initiatives

We are always seeking ways to help the people of Haiti help themselves. Our efforts are focused on our Mission and we are always adapting and updating our focus points together with our staff in Haiti. Below are the initiatives we are currently fundraising for.

Computer Room & Virtual Library

With the introduction of solar power, Help for Haiti is looking to provide computers and technology training to our students and staff.  We would like to supply our 2 schools with 30 computers each!  We would like to allow access to the internet and remote learning opportunities at both of our schools. We have plans to partner with Educa Vision to offer a virtual library to access a library of books in Haitian-Creole.

Biblical Literacy & Christian Education

Supporting Christian education is essential for spiritual growth and community development. By providing resources such as Bibles, study materials, and training for teachers and our Pastors, we aim to empower individuals to deepen their understanding of the Bible and strengthen their relationship with God.

Introduction of ESL in Marmelade

To introduce English as a Second Language in rural Marmelade we need access to the internet through Starlink for remote learning opportunities, we need to hire an English teacher and the materials that will aid in the development of the written word.

The Accelerated Academic Program & Soccer

In an effort to challenge and grow our students further we are looking to introduce an accelerated program for our students with the reward of joining a soccer program. This will require a skilled education consultant to:

  • Develop curriculum that will increase our students' performance.

  • Establish more effective ways of monitoring development.

  • Provide teacher training and professional development.

To run this program we need to provide the annual income of $15,000 as well as funding for trainings and materials. The Education Manager will work closely with school administrators and teachers. Students that meet the criteria will then earn a spot on a soccer team!

Please consider helping our OHAEP graduates grow their businesses toward further success!!! Donate to our loan portfolio and make a difference in their lives.

To Him who is able to do far more than we ask, think, or imagine, to Him be all glory, honor, and praise.
